The following is a brief biography of William T. Shaffer. Mr. Shaffer was born in 1966 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama in 1987. He graduated from Stetson University Law School in 1991.
Mr. Shaffer lives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida in Walton County, Florida. He is married to Kristy Shaffer, whom he met in while they were both in law school at Stetson. Kristy is a native Floridian. They have two children. They are Sarah (13) and "Rip" (12), named after William Shaffer's hero Cal Ripken, Jr. Both are home schooled. Mr. Shaffer in the past has volunteered pro bono legal services to the Home School Legal Defense Fund. The Shaffer's are active members of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valparasio, Florida.
